Re: car....no, because the hydrophilic end dissolves only in water and not in any other solvent.

well in water the carboxlic acid chain part of soap molecul or hydrophobic end is insoluble in water and soluble in dirt but in ethanol carboxlic acid chain will dissolve thus it will not be able to entrap dirt particle plz correct if im wrong
