i had it in ma pre boards they...i rote v but it ws told to us tht its 2v

Okay here is the explanation for the answer..

let the first object dist be x and the new one(after movin the mirror) be y...
then img. dist are x,y respectively...

dist thru which the mirror is moved is y-x and in time t secs
therefore velocity = y-x / t = v as given

dist thru the img. moved = 2y - 2x = 2(y-x)
velocity in same time t = 2 (y-x) /t
=2(v)
=2v

and hense proved..
