I jus gave my boards this year...nd let me tell u by experience..u jus hav to read the NCERT books thoroughly...read evrything nd first prepare notes...ONLY ND ONLY AFTER U HAVE COMPLETED NCERT go on to other reference books but first stick to NCERT.....thats the best way to score marks...
but if u want to increase ur knowledge base the best reference book u will ever get is the World Wide Web ..
