I think it will the Board will do exactly just that. I also think maybe you should ask the moderator if they could give an answer.

from my experience,the questions will b asked based on the contents of ncert but not the very same always.n especially for maths n phy u must practice extra sums.am not sure whether this year there's HOTS or not.but anyway,for languages something apart from the text can also b asked.so u'l have to b prepared for everything.but,don worry...boards will b very much easier than ur preboards.!!!!! all d very best

Your cbse exam would have questions mainly from textbook.

u must stick only 2 ncert text.

HOTS WILL b there
but evrythng will b based on ncert
anything written in the ncert is correct (as per boards)
but jus so u dont get startled by the hots and some other questions when u see them try some other books but only for science and maths(mayb even english grammar)
but evrythng will b BASED on ncert
