I would like to know whether the questions given in optional exercise of maths NCERT text book comes in exams.

yes!....NCERT text book sums are v.important since 70% of the total marks(out of 80) in the board exam would come from similar sums given in the text book...

no in the bottom of the textbook it is written that this exercise is not from examination point of view

well as per i know, a person from cbse came to my school [DPS Rohini]. He told us that those questions which are related to information given in the book i.e. the chapters and not other questions.
