hey frns ,
i m havin a silly question regarding one of the questions in text..
plz help me out...

there is question, frm ncert text-
exercise-1.1(rel & fun), que no-2...
i just wanna ask y its nt reflexive??
i knw dis is just a silly question...
its one of the questions frm RD Sharma's solved egs but m nt getting.....
i think, zyada padhai ho jaye to aisa hi hota hai................

see if u take 2 no.s suppose 1&2
given:a<=bsquare
since a belongs to real no.s as well as b
so 2 cannot be less than equal to (1)square
that's y it's not reflx. :lol:

but 2 prove reflexivity of a relation, the no or element should be related to itself
suppose
a belongs 2 real no..
R is defined a<=b^2
is 1not<=1^2????
pls clear it...

it shd satisty all cases, 2 is not less than or = 2^2, ryt?? (2 belongs to R)
in many cases we see that 1 satisfies but others dont. for reflex 2shd be R to 2. here its not true
