e-Learning Solutions in India - LearnNext, EduComp, EduRite

e-Learning seems to be a hot topic these days, esp in India. this website seems to be #1 in google search, so I guess i would be able go gather some meaningful opinion on what you think of various products available in the market.

Looks like educomp http://www.educomp.com is the leader - been in the market for long, but I dont know what their real focus area is.. They are into sort of everything. My nephew is studying in a smart-class enabled room, but says they use it only for 2 periods a week - I dont know how they can do any justice that way to the cause..

Edurite and some others also are in the market - but i have not had any direct reivews, or could find any product for me as a end user / reseller.

New arrival is http://www.LearnNext.com. Different approach and a new biz model. still in beta - I had some initial hickups to install the software, but once I figured it out, its a whole system in itself and really nice. their online-offline model is the best part i would say - dont know price points yet, and broadband penetration could be a hurdle.

There are some players also - topchalks.com - But sounds rather too expensive - sound quality is too poor..

I have also checked out extramarks.com - My nephew had a nasty view of them as he logged into their system and somehow it advertised itself to all people in its address book or something.. I guess the kids need some real internet security lessons to use the net and also some education on what is what - likely he didnt understand what he was doing :)

I would love to hear from you on other products available and what you think is better or worse!

cheers.
