Science1. Why hydrogen gas is not evolved when a metal reacts with nitric acid?
Re: ScienceIt is because nitric oxide is a strong oxidising agent. it oxidises the evolved hydrogen into water immidietly. however there are a few exceptions for this like magnesium.
Re: ScienceBcoz Nitric acid is a very strong oxidising agent and it immediately oxidises the hydrogen evolved to water.I hope this addresses your concern.
