difference b/w iodometry & iodimetryplz tel me wots the differernc between IODOMETRY AND IODIMETRY
Re: difference b/w iodometry & iodimetryIodimetry is a titration thats is used to determine quantitatively the amount of iodine present in a sample (volumetric analysis) by using a thio (Na2S2O3) solution. It can be given by the equation:
I2 + 2 S2O3(2−) → S4O6(2−) + 2 I(−) Iodometry is iodimetry carried out in an indirect manner by use of suitable oxidising reagents that result in the same net reaction.
