see... for second case ! area of first wire = A area of second wire = 2A if for wire 1, the resistance is = R then for wire 2, resistance is = R/2 when connected in parallel... current across wire one = I/3 current across wire 2 = 2I/3 (becuase of ratio of resistances.) then v = I /(neA) v1 = I/(3neA) v2 = 2I/(3ne2A) = I/(3neA)
