I have a doubt in this sentence from the previous page. Wouldn't it be better to use "mon fils etait malade" instead of "mon fils est malade"? As the time period being referred to is the past, wouldn't imparfait be a better form of verb to use?

Re: Problems in French?According to me, the funny thing about Learning French is that I just do not understand it and then I cannot learn it. I have tried so hard but it just does not enter my mind. Is there any easy way to learn it? Would appreciate it.
